Enterprise Troopers

Last Wednesday, we started our new topic, Enterprise Troopers. We are going to learn what it means to be an entrepreneur, and try to create and market a new product!

We had the chance to interview an actual entrepreneur, Gafyn Stiff. We talked about what it might be useful to know, and worked in teams to decide which questions we should ask.

Here is Gafyn. He talked about different entrepreneurs, and why he became one. It was lovely meeting him! We learned a lot about running a business. We will use that information to help us with our own business!

Fox Hunting Debate

Inspired by the Roald Dahl novel "Danny, Champion of the World," the children have been learning about fox hunting. They have researched it, created posters, and thought about how aspects of the argument affect different groups of people within the community.

Today we debated whether fox hunting using dogs should be allowed. The children had some interesting thoughts about this and shared their ideas in front of the rest of the children from Oak, Willow and Beech classes.

In the end we had a vote. It was decided that people should NOT hunt foxes using dogs.
